Our extra-curricular highlights
Gulgong Eisteddfod
Our involvement in the Gulgong Eisteddfod is a wonderful opportunity for students to develop confidence and teamwork through choral speaking. This experience allows our students to explore rhythm, expression, and voice while performing together as a team. Participating in the eisteddfod helps build communication skills, encourages active listening, and fosters pride in representing our school.
Our students always enjoy the chance to perform in front of an audience, connect with the wider community, and celebrate the performing arts in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Creative and performing arts
Our whole school performance provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop confidence, creativity, and teamwork. It brings together students from all year levels to work toward a shared goal, fostering a strong sense of belonging and pride in our school community. Through music, drama, and dance, our students learn to express themselves, collaborate with others, and solve problems in fun and engaging ways.
Beyond performance skills, our production celebrates student achievement, strengthens connections between our school and families, and highlights the importance of the arts as part of a well-rounded education.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
PSSA Sport
Our PSSA sport program gives students the chance to represent our school, build teamwork skills, and demonstrate sportsmanship in a supportive and competitive environment. Through participation in a variety of sports, students develop fitness, resilience, and cooperation while learning the value of fair play and persistence.
PSSA sport also provides opportunities for students to form new friendships, experience healthy competition, and take pride in representing our school at an inter-school level. It’s a valuable part of our sport program that encourages active lifestyles and a lifelong love of physical acivity.
